I understand that this time of year everyone is busy knitting for the holidays, but I was contacted this weekend by a women who’s friend is looking for knitters to help her knit boot toppers for a cause! The boot toppers will be sold at a boutique with all proceeds going toward her fundraising efforts for her to walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Her name is Donna and she is a 7 year survivor of breast cancer. She is raising funds to do the 39 mile walk in Chicago this coming May.
Donna will provide the yarn, so you just have to do the knitting! I have the pattern at the shop and told her friend I would let her know if we could help. So just call the shop or email me- massaveknitshop@ameritech.net- to let me know if you are interested. She is hoping to get the toppers made in time to sell during the holiday season. Here is a picture of a couple pairs.
