I just signed up for the Stephen West Spring Scarf Knit Along! The first project comes out this friday. We will meet this saturday around 2:30 to look over the pattern and choose yarn. One pattern is sport/dk. I am looking at the BAAH SONOMA OR SCHACHENMAYR MERINO EXTRA FINE 120. One pattern uses Mad Tosh UNICORN TAILS. I have ordered the unicorn tails and they should be here in a week or two! Unicorn Tails are mini skeins of 52 yards retailing for $4.50 a sk. It is a fingering weight yarn and we will use it for Unicorn Parallelograms. Much to my dismay (thanks Lori), it has come to my attention that Askews Me Shawl is all BRIOCHE STITCH!!!! So I think we will hold off on that one until the end (yes, I am avoiding it!). So if you want to join us on this venture, come in on saturday around 2:30 and we will form a battle plan!
Also, I have started a new shawl using Rowan Cotton Lustre (again, thanks Lori)
