I said to myself...

I should do something today besides knit.
And then I laughed and laughed.

More New Stuff!

I know it’s Sunday , but I’m always working for YOU!!
I am so excited about the new bags from Handbags for Healing! Each and every one is wonderful. I Especially liked the use of recycled needlepoint pieces! There are many repurposed items used to make these bags.

These bags are smaller than the ones I brought in for the fall retreat. They will go fast so don’t delay in getting in here to pick out one for yourself or a friend. The sale of these bags also benefits some local charities and they are made in Tipton , Indiana!
Started the log cabin group yesterday. What fun! Here are the 2 new colors of liberty wool for April.

Here are the 2 new patterns you get for free with yarn purchase!

I like them both!!
Retreat next weekend- if you want lasagna, bread, and salad Saturday night-I NEED TO KNOW MONDAY!
Enjoy your Sunday. I am off to Muncie for a volleyball tournament ! Lots of knitting time!

Better Late Than Never

This very late reminder is for the Log Cabin Knit group meeting tomorrow (sat April 6). Here is mine so far! I am just loving this project

Join the fun! May 11 Fountain Square neighborhood will be celebrating the Cultural Trail! My neighbor, Trusted Mentors and I are joining to create a piece that is both art and draws attention to the need for housing for Trusted Mentors clients. We want to “BOMB” this house. What I need are knitters!
I would love to have around 60-6″x6″ squares(shingles), 30- 4″x4′ rectangles(siding)’ knitted flower ( can be felted). USE ANY YARN, ANY DESIGN- the wilder the better- just make sure your pattern lays flat! If you don’t have fun yarn laying around- check out what is in the back at the shop!

THE NEXT OVERNIGHT( April 27) we will be knitting pieces for the house bombing! I will supply yarn for the pieces.
– please let me know as you knit pieces, so I have a count.

*TRUSTED MENTORS will be using the house for a couple other functions so we need to make our bombing awesome! Thanks in advance for your help!

What is a Late Night Knit

A “Late Night Knit” is a night we set aside for our favorite yarn projects. The evening starts at 5:30 PM and goes on til Midnight. For $20 we provide pizza and drinks. You bring a snack and your latest project to work on. Sometimes we work on a service project, so be sure to check the blog before you join us. Can’t wait to see you at our next “Late Night Knit”
