So much to tell!
1. There are still a couple spaces in the silk felting class tom. (sat June 18, 11-3 pm). Cost is $85 which includes all your materials! You will walk away with a beautiful piece of art to wear around your neck or give as a gift (Christmas is only 6 months away!). Come and join in the materpiece making.
2. BIG SUMMER SALE starts next Thurs and runs through Sun. (June 23-June 26). All in store yarns will be at least 30% off with many at 40% or 50%. Look for daily blowouts on the blog! Hours are thurs 10am-7pm, fri 10 am-6 pm, sat 10 am- 4:30 pm and sun 10 am- 4 pm!
3.We are in the process of getting items ready for the Freedom Fiber Fest! Get your stuff in to us as soon as possible (so Elaine doesn’t have to do all the work last minute!). We have had a great response so far, but I am sure that there are many more of you out there with stuff you want to get rid of . Don’t forget the Freedom Fiber Fest Sale is Sat.July 9th from 10am-1pm
Check out the new dates for the All Season Shawl Class. Dates are: July 19th and 26th, and Aug. 9th and 30th. You can sign up for the class offered from 10-12 or 6 pm-8 pm. Class fee is $55.00 plus materials.
This is a great project to learn some different stitches and do a little bit of color work!
We are taking names and checks for the 2nd bus to STITCHES! The bus leaves keystone at the Crossing at 7:00 am on sat Aug. 27, 2011, and arrives at Stitches Midwest in Schaumberg, Il. around 10 am (local time) when the market opens, shop until 5 pm ( Chicago time), then get back on the bus and arrive in indy around 10:30 pm. It is a really easy and fun way to go to Stitches. Check out knittinguniverse.com- stitches midwest for availiability of afternoon classes. The bus is locked when you are not on it, so you can leave a cooler with food and a drink for the ride home! Your $50. check will hold a seat for you on this second bus. If the bus does not sell out we will send back your check. I really think that it will not be hard to sell out because we have never filled the first bus so quickly! Don’t wait too long, the cost of the seats goes up to $60 on July 15th.
SAVE THE DATE: Those participating in the Classic Elite Knit a Long – we will have a get together on Sat July 30th at 2 pm for a party celebrating our accomplishments! We will then have the drawing for the $100. 00 gift basket from Classic Elite! If you will not be able to join us, but have finished you project(s), you need to come in before this date so we can check off your project(s) in the book. All finished projects will qualify you for the drawing whether you are here or not on the 30th. It is not too late to join us in this venture! Projects must have a minimum of only 2 balls, however larger projects will get you more chances in the drawing. Remember we meet every tues night from now until july 26th at the shop from 5-7pm to work on our projects, so come and join us! If you have any questions call the shop 317-638-1833.

Items for Fiber Festival
Today is the first day for you to start droping of the items you want us to sell at the Freedom Fiber Festival! All you need to do is go through your stash, bag it up in Ziploc bags with your name and how much you want for it on an index card. Drop your bags off at the shop between today, june 13 and july 1.
The sale will be held on Sat. JULY 9 from 10-1 in the parking lot at the shop (weather permitting, inside if it rains ).
You can bring in unfinished projects, left over yarn, books, patterns, needles, knitting toys, and FABRIC (tell your quilting friends) to the shop and we will sell it for you!!
What you sell will become a store credit at Mass Ave Knit Shop.
Cost to you to participate is $5.00. This is a one time fee no matter how many bags you bring in.
You do not have to be here for the sale unless you want to shop.
Remember you want to get rid of this stuff, so price accordingly. Items not sold can be returned to you or donated to one of the groups we donate to.
Credits will be available 1 week after the festival. All unsold items not picked up by July 23 will be donated!! Questions, call the shop 317-638-1833.

The Classic Elite Knit A Long will meet Tue nights from 5-7pm . It is not too late to join us. You just need to pick a project from one of the new summer books from C.E. and one of their yarns (winter or summer) will qualify. Your project must take a minimum of 2 ball, however we are giving extra chances in the drawing when you purchase more yarn, ex: project that takes 3 balls gets you 2 chances in the drawing and a project that takes 10 balls gets you 9 chances in the july 31 drawing. Yarn must be purchased at Mass. Ave Knit Shop to be in our drawing. We will meet next on tues. june 14. Remember that if you finish your Classic Elite Project by July 31,your name will go into a drawing for a $100. basket of goodies from Classic Elite Yarns. There will be 1 winner from every shop that parricipates in the knit along. We are planning a get together for the 31st, so save the date! See you tues.
