G.S. Cookies are in!!
Some of you wanted to know when the girl scout cookies arrive. I have Thin Mints, Do si dos, Samoas, and Trefoils. I do not have the amounts that I have had in the past, because Alice is no longer in scouts, so call the shop for availability.
This Thursday is the next Super Bowl Scarf Knit Night. We are doing Jane’s argyle scarf pattern. You can start this scarf or finish one you have already started! Time is 5-8pm. All are welcome.
COMING UP-
Spring in store Retreat. Dates April 29, 30 and May 1. Call the shop or send in your check for $25.to hold your seat for the weekend.
The service project for this retreat is squares for the Schuyler Blanket Project. These are blankets donated to parents who have lost a child . You can read about it at schuylersblankets.wordpress.com. We need 8×8″ squares knit or crocheted out of machine washable materials. For every 3 squares you donate your name will go into a drawing for a $15 credit on yarn to be used in the shop by May 31,2011
We will have 3 drawings during the retreat. You will not have to be present to win. This is a great cause and originated with one of our customers. Take some time and donate!

New Crochet Class
Bavarian Crochet Class. Learn to crochet these great squares that can be put together to make a pillow, shawl or blanket. This is a really unique technique. Susannie says you could also make a cute purse with the squares. Cost: $45. Plus materials. Dates: Feb 21, 28 and Mar 7 10-12 or 6-8. Call the shop to sign up!
The other photo is my finished Top Down Summer Vest. So sorry for the 1st photo, the needles were still in the project. The finished vest used 3 ball of the Sol De Grade.
With last weeks weather I got a couple of projects finished! The third photo is the Ripples and Waves Vest. I used lace mohair, allegoro and lenpur linen. You can wear this piece two ways! And use a variety of different yarns.
