I am ordering more of the recycled sari ribbon. I am going to do a top out of it, but look at what Ann made with her skein!

I love it!! She is out of town, but will email me with directions when she gets back!

Also, we are almost out of the Cashsilk from Linea Pura. You would not believe how soft this yarn is!! You must stop by before it is all gone!!

I am also working on the Weekend Wrap from Coco Knits (thanks Rebecca!!). I am using Secondo from Lana Grossa. Secondo is a Cotton/ Silk/ Polymid blend. It only takes 3 balls for the largest size! Should have pics by monday.

We will be taking items you want to sell in the Fiber Festival starting June 1. The Festival will be held June 30th.

We just more Flicker from Berroco . We now have Black, 2 shade of gray, lavender, and tan.
If you have not worked with this it is similar and interchangeable with Rowan Lima, but has a little bit of metallic.

Also just in (OMG), a new yarn from Linea Pura (lana grossa) called Cashsilk. It is a Silk, cashmere, bamboo, polyamid blend. You can not believe how very soft it is until you touch it. I have only gotten in 2 colors so far, but you do not want to miss out on this yarn. Cost is $14.50 a ball with 80 yds. I want to do a cowl with 2 balls. It will be FAB!

ps- Maggie is up to 13 hats- no laundry!

Overnighter is tomorrow night- May 12th from 7:30-? Cost is $20. plus a snack to share. Bring what ever you want to knit, but we will also sell you yarn if you want!!!

Check out the cute scarf Elaine and I made with the new recycled silk from Leilani Arts. We cut 8 foot lengths and then knotted them together. Could be easier! This is a great way to showcase the different silk in the skein.

I am in the process of finishing up the pattern “Wingspan” I will have it finished by sat, so if you come to the overnighter you can see it first. If you can not make the overnighter, i will post pics on the blog!

Send in your checks for the Mass Ave. Bus to Stitches! Date is sat. August 11, 2012. Cost is $50 until July 1, then it goes to $60. We will be leaving Keystone at the Crossing at 7 am and making a stop in Lafayette on our way to Schaumburg.

Fiber Festival is quickly approaching!!
Bag up your old yarn, books needles and unfinished projects. Put it in ziplock bags with 2-3×5 index cards. On 1 card put your name, phone number, and what you want for what is in that bag. Second card needs to have your amount for what is in the bag. You can start bringing in your bags on the 1st of June. Fee: $5. no matter how many bags you bring in. If you do not have the correct cards or bags you will be billed $25! What ever you sell during the fiber festival will be an in store credit at the shop!!
Fiber Festival Sale will be Sat June 30th from 10am-12 noon. Get here early for the best selection!

**As in past, My daughter Maggie is knitting Chemo Caps for the summer. Last summer she knit 55 caps, so her goal this summer is 60. She got home from Purdue last Sunday, and she has already knit 8 caps! Go Girl!!
