Just in- Handbags for Healing! These are one of a kind, handmade purses, novelty, and knitting bags! They are made from recycled materials and a portion of each sale goes to local charities. Looking at these bags, one would think they must come from Chicago or New York, but NO, they are made in our very own Tipton, In.
As you can see, Elaine has already grabbed 2!! You have got to see these bags! They are truly fab! We will have a small trunk show of these bags during the upcoming In-Store Retreat.
Speaking of the In-Store Retreat- it is just a few weeks away. The dates are October 12-14. Hours are friday 12-10pm, saturday 10am-10pm, and sunday 10 am-4pm. Cost is $25 for the weekend. We need to know if you are coming so we can get the packet of Patterns and Shop Bag together.

3rd annual Mass Ave Pitch In is in 2 weeks!! Sat. Sept 29 from 5:30-? We will provide Hamburgers, Hot Dog, and Brats. Those whose last name start with A-M bring a side dish, N-Z please bring a dessert. There will be Door Prizes and other Specials. Wear something you made (preferably from the shop) in the last year. Bring folding chair if you have one- we will eat outside, weather permitting. Please bring a copy of your recipe to share.

Okay- I am caught up with my Mystery Shawl!! Just in time for the next clue which comes out tomorrow! Here is how it looks so far!
I am guessing that we will work the collar (green yarn) next, then the final clue will be the bottom (blue yarn). We shall see if i am correct tomorrow!!!
Bus to Vogue Live Chicago is filling up! Call to reserve your seat. Cost is $50 round trip. Date is October 27, 2012. Bus will leave Keystone at the Crossing on the north side at 7am and return around 9:30-10 pm. There is shopping, classes and lots of fun to be had. Non Knitters, this is a great chance to get to the Big City in a carefree manner. Chicago Live is at the Palmer House in downtown Chicago, so you can just catch a cab and do some early Holiday shopping if you wish!

Bootie Slippers on page 29, theTassel hat on page 30, and the Fingerless gloves on page 30 and 53 (these are really easy). There are even some really cute Teacher Gift items! Get in and get your copy of the magazine, because they will go very quickly!
