okay- I am back and it has taken me three days to get to you guys!  I was also waiting to hear what new yarns were on the way.  Are you ready?

Madelinetosh Sock yarn is coming!!!  This stuff is beautiful.  I can’t wait to have it in my little fingers.  It should arrive on fri.  if all is right with the ups!  I will be taking this to Stitches, so get in here early to get yours before I sell it all in chi town!

Moochi chunky is also on its way!  this is a chunky(duh) yarn that self stripes. Yeh!  It is new from crystal palaces yarns. If I remember correctly it comes in the same colors as the moochi plus (aran weight). 

Cascade- 9 boxes- need I say more!  There is the addition of 128 superwash! (and sooo many others that i don’t even remember).

Misti Chunky Alpaca with some great new colors.  Supply is limited because they recieved small amounts of stock from their suppliers.

New Flat Feet!-This month has beautiful jewel tones- purple, turq., copper, magenta, olive pine, red or wine.  There is only one of each color so call or come in to get yours! The free pattern that comes with this months Flat Feet is a lace scarf.

Don’t forget that this sat. is Robyns “Overnighter for Lukemia”.  $15. of the $20 overnighter fee will go to her sign-up fee.  She will also had DOOR PRIZES!  Don’t we all love free stuff!  It really is a great cause, so help us support her with this!  if you can not make it to the overnighter, but would like to contribute, you can go to the previous blog letter for the website to donate.  what ever you donate will go toward her enty fee.  Call if you are coming- we need # for pizza!

Also, Sat day (12-4) is mass ave ravelry day.  Come join this group to knit and chat.  no fee, but cookies  are encouraged!

DON’T FORGET- mass ave knit shop will be closed the week of Aug 16- 22.  We will be getting ready and leaving for stitches.  So make sure you get in the week before if you need stuff or just help!

Mark your calendars (if you have not already)  The In-Store Retreat for the Fall is the weekend of Oct. 15-17.  This is always such a fun weekend.  The Cost is $25 for the whole weekend.  This gets you a shop bag, free patterns, and a discount on yarn for the weekend!  You do not have to come for the whole weekend if you are not able, but you will want to be here as much as possible!  Call or stop in to sign up.

Also, Knit Camp is around the corner!  We will go to Waycross Camp in brown county the week end of Oct. 30th.  Actual dates are thurs Oct. 28- Oct. 31.  if you can not come down on thurs, you can come on fri.  Again, if you can come thurs, that is best, because time just flys on these weekend. We will do a small project on fri and sat night that you can participate in or not! This is like vegas, what you do at camp stays at camp! Call the shop for more details.  I have only 2-3 spaces left!

IT’S HAPPENING-U.P.S just showed up with berroco-8 boxes! YEH!  Also, Rowan Book #48. The yarn can not be far behind.  Don’t you love the fall!

I know that I am forgetting something, but I can no longer focus!  I MUST OPEN BOXES! ( to be read with a zombie voice!)

I have scheduled a special overnighter on  July 31, 2010. Mass ave will be hosting an overnighter to benefit the Lukemia Society.  One of our shop girls, Robyn Hawn, will be doing a Teams in Training walk in San Fran. on Oct 17, 2010 .  The overnighter cost is still just $20, with $15 of that going toward Robyn’s walk fee. (check her out at http://pages.teamintraining.org/in/nikesf10/rhawn ).  Robyn has been very busy making some ring markers and other knitted items for door prizes to be handed out that night.  Let’s help her with this very important project!

This sat.(july 10, 2010)-For those who want to knit lace, but don’t want to do it by themselves-  we are holding our 1st ever open lace knitting.  Bring your current lace patterns, yarn and desire to knit lace, and we (well, Jane) will knit with you.  We have many lace patterns and yarn if this longing has not materialized farther than just a thought!  Jane, and others will be working from 12-2 on sat.  All are welcome!

WE HAVE WHITE ANGORA!! I know it seems like a long time until  Christmas, but for those of us who need to knit stockings with angora it will be here before we know it.  Call if you need some of this very hot item!

BUS TRIP TO STITCHES – we have 6 seats left!  the cost is $57.  for the 1-day trip to chicago on Sat. Aug 21, 2010.  When to bus is sold we will take names and checks to see if we can sell a second bus.

If you have Colts Scarves to turn in-Please do so.  They need to get the badges sewn on and get an idea of the numbers of finished scarves.

We , at mass ave, are waiting for the new fall goodies to arrive.  I will let you know what’s in.  I did get the Berroco books, but not the new yarns, yet.
