World Wide Knit in Public Day

This Sun. June 20, 2010 is the World Wide Knit in Public day.  It is being held at the Artsgarden at Circle Center Mall downtown.  A group of us from the shop are going to go and knit from 2-around 4, then we are going to P.F. Changs for dinner.  Please join us, if only for the knitting.  Lets show indy how cool it is to knit!  I will be working on my Superbowl Scarf, but you can work on what ever you want.  At the shop we have a good amount of the Alpaca With a Twist yarn Super Bowl yarn-“TOUCHDOWN, so if you want me to bring you some, just call the shop.  We can wind it for you also.

If you have scarves to turn in, just bring them along and we will pass them on to the superbowl com.  They need to get them in so they can put the patches on them!

Don’t forget (as if you could) that the BIG SUMMER SALE  starts next mon.(june 21-june 27). All in-stock yarn will be 30%-50% off. We will also have blowout items that you will be notified about on this very blog!

There are just a few spaces for the bus to stitches in Aug.  Call the shop for info.

I f you want to be notified when I am BLOGGING, just sign up and I am told you will recieve an e-mail.

Have a great week and I hope to see you Sun. (I will not bring yarn to knit in unles you let me know you wnat it)

Scarf Knit Night

You guys have been bugging me for a while to post- Now you have done it!! Hopefully this will be helpful and more informational.

I just wanted to thank the scarf knitters who joined us for the scarf night.  Once again, I see why this is such a great town.  We had a wonderful turn out with many knitters purchasing more yarn to do multiple scarves for the volunteers (and themselves).  I handed out a pattern I designed of a football.  The horseshoe pattern was also handed out for personal use only.  Jennifer Orr from Alpaca with a Twist came by to deliver yarn and says she will join us for our Scarf Night Night on august 31.  She will bring other yarns and samples from her company.  mark the date.  Also, I want to thank the scarf knitters for letting me out early to get home to watch the season finale of GLEE-I wept!

The Entrelac jacket class is doing well.  If you are interested in learning entrelac and you could not make this series of class,, let me know and I will schedule another set of classes.  All but one of the ten students had never done entrelac before, and they all left the 2 -hour class with a very good knowledge of what they were doing.  Congrats.

I will try to post about once a week- more often when new yarns come in.
