In-Store-Retreat

A little heads up-
We do not have enough people signed up for food SO
-if you are signed up for friday and have paid- we will create a credit in the computer for you to use this weekend.
-if you are signed up for sat and have paid we are getting lasagna and bread sticks from “South of Chicago” for you. If you do not want to have this we will credit you in the computer.
I hope this does not cause any problems, but we did not think the numbers justified the labor for Jan who provides the meals.

Also, Jennifer Davies, with the knitting Jewelry will be here Friday afternoon with her wonderful items. You may buy from her and I will see if she will leave some pieces for those of you who will not be here on friday to pick from. She does take aluminum needles in trade (50 cents per needle) toward your purchase. Red and Purple needles are in high demand!

Just in HPKY Yarns and kits are here! I am working on a Giant Skein (16 oz) right now.

The yarn and the scarf in the kit are hand-dyed silk!!
They are also sending 8-10 more Giant Skeins for the retreat! YEAH!

We still have room for you at the Retreat-BUT it is best for us to know, so we can get the bags ready! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if you are waiting , let us know right away.

I Leave for a Week

So, I was gone for a week in florida and came back to a LOVELY, somewhat re-configured shop!
I think it looks great and have been getting positive comments all day! Ann, you can come out from under the rock!

So other things that happened or came in while I was gone:

Coming Up

We need you guys to get signed up for the retreat! If you are coming to the April 13,14,15th In Store Retreat and have not signed up, we really need you to get on the BALL! Call the shop and get signed up!
Dinners for the retreat are: Friday- Salad with Fixings and Chicken: Saturday-Pulled Pork Sandwich with side salad. Cost for Dinners are $7.50 per meal.
You can send in your check with email address and total ($25. for Retreat) for meals and weekend. You can also stop by the shop to pay.

Okay, have you seen the Knit Swirl Book yet? Well, we are starting a knit along for this book. We will meet 1 saturday a month starting with May 19th. We will meet at the shop from 10-12. You can work any of the patterns in the book. There will be no cost for this group knitting. You will only need to buy the yarn! Call the shop if you want to join us for this monthly event!

Cruise Information

just got some information on Alaska cruise dates for 2013. The only available date for the summer of 2013 is July 29-July 6th. This means we will be gone over July 4th. Is this a problem? Going these dates will allow us to have a a room and a block of cabins. please just drop me a note if this is okay with you. We need to let Melissa know if we want this date.

The new Special Malabrigo Finito has come in! yeh! Here are the colors! The supply is LIMITED, so you need to get in and get this now. I do not know if there is enough supply for reorders!

Check it Out

Book 3 and Book 1 from Stephen West arrived today! If you are not familiar with his patterns, they have great shapes using mitre decreases and angles. We have a couple samples of one of the patterns from Book 1 in the shop!

Just arrived- 2 new colors of Liberty Print from Classic Elite yarns. There are also 3 new patterns (mobius cowl, mitered cowl, and hooded scarf) available with purchase of this yarn. Here are the 2 new colors.

We are starting to talk about our Knitting Cruise of 2013. We will be going on a 1 week trip to Alaska. Date tentatively set for June or July 2012! Call the shop if you are interested in joining up. We will have meeting once we have more information. Get on the list so we can call you when we get details! Last year we went to the Caribbean and had a wonderful time!

Limit Stock Malabrigo!

Malabrigo is sending a limited supply new yarn called Finito. It is a pure Superfine Merino wool that is kettle dyed. The yardage per skein is 200 yards and the retail is $15.50 a sk. The
gauge is 24-26 sts for 4″ on size 2-4 needles. The yarn is to be shipped on Friday (tomorrow)! We should have by wed or thurs. I will send out a note and more photos when it arrives. This yarn is SUPER soft!
It is a once a year yarn, so don’t delay! When it is gone, it is GONE!

FiberFest 2012 is going to be held mid- june. Start setting your yarn aside that you want to put into the sale. This time we are requesting, no insisting, that you include two(2) index cards, one with your name, phone number and price for the contents of the bag, one card with just your price. The bags must be zip locks. We will not take items otherwise. Cost to be in the sale is still $5. per person. We will start taking items on June 1st and the sale will be held on June 30th from 10-12 . More info later.
