The D-O-D is Artful Yarns "Old Western" This is a great yarn that knits up at 4 sts to the inch, but it is very light weight. It reminds me of a thicker version of Rowans Felted tweed. Today the cost is $4.00 a ball Also starting tonight is the "Vogue Wrap" class- time is 6-8pm. Class dates are June 24, July 8, and Aug 5. Cost is $30 plus materials(which are really cheap since we have a sale going on)! Don't forget our 1-night classes in July- all classes are from 6-8 pm July...

World Wide Knit in Public Day
This Sun. June 20, 2010 is the World Wide Knit in Public day. It is being held at the Artsgarden at Circle Center Mall downtown. A group of us from the shop are going to go and knit from 2-around 4, then we are going to P.F. Changs for dinner. Please join us, if only for the knitting. Lets show indy how cool it is to knit! I will be working on my Superbowl Scarf, but you can work on what ever you want. At the shop we have a good amount of the Alpaca With a Twist yarn Super Bowl...
Scarf Knit Night
You guys have been bugging me for a while to post- Now you have done it!! Hopefully this will be helpful and more informational. I just wanted to thank the scarf knitters who joined us for the scarf night. Once again, I see why this is such a great town. We had a wonderful turn out with many knitters purchasing more yarn to do multiple scarves for the volunteers (and themselves). I handed out a pattern I designed of a football. The horseshoe pattern was also handed out for personal use...
