I feel as though I have not “talked ” to you guys in forever,  time just flys by.

Speaking of which, my b-day is coming up.  How could you have forgotten (i tend to remind everyone i see).  Watch for news of events planned for the BIG day!

What has kept me so busy is the SHOP!  We are running around like squirrels on a wheel.  I have photos from the last felting class with Annette Browing of Kentucky Blue Fiber Co.

The process is so interesting and the finished scarves were just beautiful!

Annette will be back this Sat (Oct 1) to do a no-knitting slipper felting class (I will be joining that class)  Annette had samples of slippers at the scarf class-I just forgot to take photos. Ugh!!    The slipper class has some openings, so call the shop to join in the fun!  The time is 11-4pm this sat.  Cost is $85- which includes materials.

Okay, so Rebecca (you know who you are) got me started on the “Puff daddy” foot stool.  After long deliberation (on Rebecca’s end), we both chose Malabrigo Rasta to knit it up.  Here is mine so far- Google3 Puff-daddy foot stool to see a picture .  It is adorable and really fast- I am knitting it on size 17 needles!  I will keep you posted as to my progress!

Don’t forget the in-store retreat is coming up in a couple weeks.  Have you  signed up yet?  Call the shop to make sure you are on the list.  Dates are Oct 7 , 8 and 9th.  Friday hours are 12-10pm,  sat 10-10 and sun 10-4.  Cost is $25.  You will recieve some free patterns (one shown here), a shop bag and 20% off on yarn for the weekend!  We can charge over the phone, so give us a call!

Isn’t this fab!!  And I don’t even like candy corn!

I am also finishing up a new ruffle scarf in Flora from Universal Yarns  This is similar to the Marina, but “flouncier”. If that is possible!

The Fall Pitch In dinner was so much fun!  We had a great night to eat outside and enjoy the weather and the company!  Thanks to all who came and joined us in celebration of another year!

Had to share with you this photo- it is in the Fall 2011 Knit Simple and is a gift for my cousin and his wife who just had their first baby!!  I used 128 superwash and a size 6 needle-could have gone with a size 7.  It knit up in 2 days!  Welcome John Brady!

Hope to see you this weekend (no-knitting felt slippers class) or for sure the next weekend for the In-Store Retreat1  susan
